ABOUT ME

Art as a development value

Every time you approach art, you look at it and listen to it, a new sensitivity awakens in you.

It enlivens your creativity and stimulates your imagination.

You experience its value.

From here Art-Pro is born, art by and for the person.

About me

Ever since I was a child, I’ve really loved to draw, paint and express my own creativity; these are the things that make me come alive. And as I went through my education, I always sought those outlets to express myself.

At university, I began a degree in Law, taking classes in Fashion Design on the side; but within a year, I decided to abandon Law and pursue a degree in Fine Arts.

Lots of people thought the decision was crazy. But I know it was the best one I ever made, for my life and myself.

After that, I was able to focus all of my training on the art of painting and its many processes –creative, technical, stylistic and theoretical– all of which are so important in art restoration and conservation, the professional field I ultimately chose.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts and Conservation, Master in Art Conservation and doctorate in Painting. For ten years, I worked on preventive conservation and collection care in the Restoration Department of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, and for five years I participated in its research project on restoration and conservation materials. This expertise has greatly enhanced my work as an official guide, and my knowledge of creative and technical processes helps my clients better understand style and form in the evolution of art movements.

My visits to other conservation labs, at the National Gallery in London, the Hirshorn Museum in Washington, DC, MoMA in New York, Reina Sofía in Madrid and IVAM in Valencia have also greatly enriched me professionally and personally.

Beyond the museum walls, I have always been fascinated art fairs and galleries, and in recent years have acquired expertise in contemporary art collecting. Since 2010 I have led groups and private tours at ARCO (Spain’s major annual contemporary art fair, held in Madrid), and since 2017 I have been working at Feria Estampa, the annual contemporary prints fair in Madrid, in its COLECCIONA program, guiding collectors of contemporary art.

I have a deep belief in the power of art to make us grow individually and achieve well-being. I invite you to join me in an Art-Pro experience, and experience art in all its dimensions.
